Vietnam has one of the highest rates of roadside traumatic brain injury in the world. (1)

In Vietnam, someone is killed or injured on the roads every minute. And, on average five children die every day on the roads. Most motorbike fatalities result from head injuries, so increasing helmet usage use could help decrease these statistics. (3)

More Information on the Need:

Lots of Bikes

Motorized bikes account for nearly all vehicles. (3)

Forgetting One's Helmet

In some surveys, a primary reason for why young children were not wearing their helmets was "forget to wear". (4)

Low Helmet Usage

In spite of recent legislation, data suggests roughly half of primary school students are not wearing helmets on motorcycles. (2)

Vietnam Traffic Mortality

Head injuries are the cause of the vast majority of motorized bike fatalities. (3)
